About Denise Clancey
Denise Clancey is a business executive with 20+ years experience specializing in launching, rejuvenating, and reengineering Telephone Sales, Lead Generation, and Customer Service organizations. Denise founded Teledirect Partners to provide companies and non-profits with practical advice, tools, and methodologies in order for them to establish or rejuvenate their telephone organizations. Her clients range from high tech startups to non-profit organizations with thirty years of history.
In 2006, Denise founded the Telesales Forum, an organization which provides Telesales executives with the opportunity to meet to focus on key business issues, to network, and to exchange ideas.
Prior to Teledirect Partners, Denise was Vice President of Telesales & Customer Service at Lotus Development, a subsidiary of IBM. In this position, her organization delivered $151M in sales from corporate customers in addition to managing one million plus Customer Service inquiries. She established a successful Small Business Sales organization that was responsible for bringing in $32 million in new business its first full year of operation, 100% via telephone.
Over the course of her career, Denise held a number of Sales and Marketing positions, all startups or turnarounds, focused on delivering results and revenue. She began her business career at MCI where she ran the Northeast call centers, targeting the Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer markets.
Denise currently serves as a member of the Board and on the Fundraising and Nomination Committees of the North End Community Health Center (subsidiary of Massachusetts General Hospital), as Vice President of Membership for the Independent Management Consultants of New England, on the Membership Committee for IMCUSA, and as a volunteer in the Boston Public Schools. Denise has Masters Degrees in Counseling and Student Personnel and she is certified as a Diversity@Work Facilitator.
Denise donates 5% of her time to non-profits to help them develop and improve their telefundraising and teleservicing abilities.
